Mark Bergmann is the Station Manager and Lecturer at WRMU-FM. He teaches media classes related to broadcasting, and oversee the operation of the college radio station. Mark is responsible for the day- to-thy operation. From 1980 to 1983, Mark was a News Director/Producer at WBKC-AM Radio in Chardon, Ohio. AThere he supervised the news room operations, hired and trained employees, served as morning news anchor, covered iiess contEces and news making events. He wrote and produced a weekly “News in Review” documental, and produced other special event programs. Mark researched, hosted, and produced daily talk show “Open Mike”. From 1979 to 1980, Mark was a Morning News Anchor/Producer for WREO-FM’WFUN-AM Radio in Ashtabula, Ohio. He anchored morning newscasts, covered press conferences and news making events. He wrote, produced, and hosted a 30-minute weekly public affairs program. From 1978 to 1979, Mark worked at WBKC-AM Radio in Chardon, Ohio where he was a Morning News Anchor and DJ. Mark was responsible for on-air broadcasts, news writing, and reporting. He also sold commercial broadcast time. In 1978, he graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio with a B.A. in Communication, Cuni Laude. In 2002, he graduated from Kent State University with a M.A. in Media Management. Mark has been involved in various organizations and has received numerous honors. Mark is a member of RTNDA, Chairman of Alliance City Cable TV Task Force Committee, Radio Instructor for Elderhostel at Mount Union College (2000), Carnation Cable Board member (1996 - present), directed student who won Best of Show and Best Public Affairs programming from Ohio SPJ in 2004 (Alliance City Council debate), directed student with her Judges Award for “The Simple Life” for Best feature Reporting, and he is the Co-author “The Direct Approach” CASE Currents June 1993. |
