Dr. Carl Burnham *

      Carl Burnham began with a weekly religious broadcast over WJW in the late 30’s. He was broadcasting over WJW on December 7, 1941, when the word came concerning the attack on Pearl Harbor . It was one of the most unusual broadcasts he ever conducted as he had to respond live concerning the need of our country to pray in that hour of attack. Dr. Burnham later continued his weekly broadcasts on WADC until 1960 when he began a daily broadcast from his home. He continued these programs until his death in 1962. Many people were influenced and inspired by these broadcasts and still refer to Carl Burnham as their radio pastor.
