Carlton Day

Carl Day is a familiar name to local radio buffs. He first came to Akron in the mid 60’s as the Local News Director of WSLR.

He then became one of the important Good Guys at WHLO before joining management at that station and at the sister station, WHLQ in Canton .

 He spent six years as a top-rated air personality at WHIO Radio in Dayton and has worked as a reporter for WBNS-TV in Columbus and has covered Central Ohio for the CBS television network.

 In 1982, he joined Channel 22 Alive News as the Senior Anchor and has won two prestigious Regional Emmys, the only News Anchor in the Dayton-Columbus-Cincinnati area to do so.

 He currently lives in Centerville , Ohio with his wife, Donna, and four cats.
