Dean Griffin *       Dean Griffin has been reporting world events since Storer Broadcasting Company hired him to work as a newscaster/reporter at WGBS in Miami . He covered local news and had beats in the Caribbean .       In 1964, he was challenged to build an award winning newsroom in Houston , Texas (KXYZ). Within a year, Griffin was named Outstanding News Director by the Texas UPI.       Later, Griffin joined WJW and WJW TV. From 1982 – 1987, Griffin was the morning news anchor and political reporter at WAKR, Akron . In January of 1988, he opened Griffin Communications.
