Kitty
G. Brown
After graduating from
Skidmore
College
with a degree in Theatre, Kitty began her radio career in 1947 as a
continuity writer at WHKK. When WCUE opened in the basement of the Palace
Theatre in 1950, she was their first continuity writer. Later that year,
she moved to WAKR where she remained until 1952. Kitty has worked for
several
Akron
advertising agencies doing broadcast and audio-visual production, both
local and national. For the past 20 years, she has been the writer and
voice For January Paint and Wallpaper radio spots. In addition to her
professional career, Kitty has contributed much time and talent to
Akron
Junior League,
Ohio
Ballet,
Akron
Art Museum
, Ronald McDonald House, and especially to the Weathervane Community
Playhouse.
