He was the Vice-President of Summit Radio Corporation (WAKR, WAEZ and WAKR-TV) from 1941 to 1977. He was Chairman of the Board from 1977 to 1983. He served as Chairman of the Board of Stations WONE and WTUE in Dayton . He was also Chairman of the Board for KMEZ AM-FM, KBOX and KTLC of Dallas , Texas . He was also Chairman of the Board for KLZ and KAZY of Denver , Colorado . Roger was Trustee of the Radio Advertising Bureau, Akron Regional Development Board, National Alliance of Businessmen, Children’s Hospital, and the United Foundation of Summit County. Roger G. Berk, Sr. was also a member of Akron Rotary Club, Harvard Club, Akron City Club, Hilltoppers, Akron Chamber of Commerce, American Advertising Federation, Touchdown Club, Rosemont Country Club, and Goals For Greater Akron. He was listed in the “Who’s Who in America ”. |
