Robert I. Bostian

      Bob is very much a part of the radio and television scene in Akron . He has served in many managerial capacities for WAKR’s Group Ones’ stations throughout the country. He not only contributed to administrative duties, but also served as a consultant. In 1955, he started at WAKR-TV as Station Manager. In 1960, he became Radio Commercial Manager for WAKR AM and FM. He remained in that position until 1967 when he was sent to Dallas to manage Group Ones’ station KBOX (now KMEZ). In 1972, he was transferred to Denver to manage Group Ones’ two stations, KLZ and KAZY. It must be added that Bob excels as both a Director and Producer when he so chooses. He was returned to Akron in 1976 to manage WAKR-TV where he is currently Television Vice-President.
