Richard Dain

      Prior to his election to the Akron Radio Hall of Fame, Richard Dain had already compiled an impressive list of broadcasting honors.
      In 1983, he received an OEBC Award for Technical Achievement for design of power increase and omni-directional orientation of broadcast signal for KSU, the station he has served as Director of Engineering for 14 years.
      In 1980, he received a special commendation from the President of Kent State University for outstanding work in designing specification and for personally installing the equipment that increased the stations power to 50,000 watts.
      He also worked at WCUE as an engineer for 7 years. He serves as Chairman of the Technical Committee on radio for the Ohio Educational Broadcasting Network commission, is a Delegate at Large to the State of Ohio Radio Reading Service, a member of the society of Broadcast Engineers and a Technical Advisor to WCRS.
