| No Photo Available | Bill Beers was born in 1917. He entered the broadcasting field at WADC as a staff announcer and music librarian. He maintained and catalogued a library consisting of over 8,000 musical selections. Bill had the distinction of being the first radio announcer in Akron to be televised with his “Man-On-The-Street” program. After six years with WADC, he accepted a position with General Tire. Now retired, he and his wife reside in Cuyahoga Falls and he is serving on several committees of the Akron Radio Hall of Fame. |
